A Message From Dennis Brown

Fifty-three years ago, I was lucky enough to become the first Little Brother of the Big Brothers Hawaii program. I was matched to Henry Sumida who had such a great impact on my life I worked my way to become the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii in 1998 and am now the longest-serving CEO in our agency's history. I'm very proud and privileged to have this job that lets me help many more children and youth have a caring mentor in their lives just as Henry was for me. It truly changes the life of a child facing adversity for the better, forever!

In Support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawai'i

Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawai'i supports keiki from 6 yrs old and up through our one-to-one mentoring relationships which support their social and emotional development

Our youth-centered programs help our keiki create and achieve goals through the connection and support of their mentors. Each child, mentor, and family unit is guided through the process of enrollment, volunteerism, and support by all of our staff. We become 'ohana to ensure that the social and emotional needs of youth are being met and that every keiki has an opportunity to reach their full potential.
