A Message From Sheryl Gibu
My name is Sheryl Mita and I am the Case Manager for the Kaimiloa (pictured), Ali'iolani, Ala Wai, and Kapunahala Elementary School-Based Mentoring Programs. The programs offer elementary school students the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a caring and responsible mentor (typically a high school student) in a supervised group setting for about an hour afterschool alongside other Bigs and Littles. I am on site at each mentoring session to answer any questions and provide support for each mentoring relationship. Bigs and Littles play games, participate in fun activities, do homework, and form positive and meaningful relationships. Please continue to support our mentoring programs by donating to my page, no matter how Big or Little your donation may be, it will make a difference in our participants' lives for the better, forever.

In Support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawai'i
Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawai'i supports keiki from 6 yrs old and up through our one-to-one mentoring relationships which support their social and emotional development
Our youth-centered programs help our keiki create and achieve goals through the connection and support of their mentors. Each child, mentor, and family unit is guided through the process of enrollment, volunteerism, and support by all of our staff. We become 'ohana to ensure that the social and emotional needs of youth are being met and that every keiki has an opportunity to reach their full potential.
